Sadly, we continue to call animal control to come pick up animals that will ultimately be hauled off to their death. The days of thinking the good people down at the local Shelter will make sure a home is found for them is naive at best. With all the other options available today, this makes no sense. 

Of nearly 2,000 dogs picked up, over 300 were needlessly killed.

Of nearly 2,000 cats picked up, close to half of them were needlessly killed. This is their planet too. They have just as much right to live out their lives as any other creature does. Next time you pick up the phone  to make that "good samaritan call"  please think twice.
